The final event of the STARWOMEN – Simulation Training for Women project took place on 19 September 2025 in Rijeka. The event was hosted by the Rijeka Development Agency Porin and held in the inspiring setting of RiHub.
The event showcased the main project results:
- a digital Moodle platform with 15 units for educators and 6 units for women,
- a Train the Trainer module for adult educators,
- a Women’s Training course aimed at women aged 40+, focusing on soft skills development and empowerment,
- a Learning Week in Italy for trainers,
- and National training weeks for women in all seven partner countries.
Partners from Italy, Austria, Sweden, Bulgaria, Greece, Spain and Croatia presented their modules and shared experiences from piloting with target groups. Special emphasis was placed on innovative methodologies such as role play, improvisational theatre, photovoice, simulations and digital tools.
The project results show significant progress among participants – from increased self-confidence and communication skills to improved digital competencies and professional abilities.
The final event confirmed that STARWOMEN leaves a lasting impact and that its results will continue to live on through the platform, toolkits and resources made available to educators and women across Europe.
Although the project formally concludes in October 2025, the partners unanimously highlighted that this is only the beginning of new initiatives focused on women’s empowerment and strengthening their opportunities in the labour market.
