STARWOMEN presented at Erasmus Days in Rijeka

The STARWOMEN – Simulation Training for Women project was presented during the Erasmus Days in Rijeka: E+ in the Local Community event, held as part of the European celebration of Erasmus+ initiatives. The event brought together organisations, educators, professionals and individuals interested in international cooperation, project management and local community development.

Representatives of the Rijeka Development Agency Porin introduced the STARWOMEN project to a diverse audience of participants — from experienced Erasmus+ coordinators to those just starting their journey in EU-funded projects. The presentation highlighted how the project works to strengthen trainers’ competences and enhance women’s employability and inclusion through innovative, simulation-based learning methods focused on transversal skills.

During the event’s “Living Library” session, Porin showcased the project’s objectives, target groups and final results, sparking particular interest among participants working in adult education, gender equality and employment support. Many attendees engaged in discussions about the practical application of simulation training in empowering women and promoting inclusive learning environments.

The presentation of STARWOMEN also opened up conversations about future cooperation and knowledge exchange among local organisations interested in implementing similar approaches in their own educational and training activities.

By participating in Erasmus Days, the Rijeka Development Agency Porin once again underlined its commitment to supporting European values of equality, education and innovation, while promoting projects that create real opportunities for learning, growth and inclusion.
